Blowing out the candles!

My "Sweeter-than-Sweet" 16 year old daughter blows out the candles on her cake with friends and family looking on.

I cherish the look on her face.

Sweet Sixteen Fit for a Princess!

Maggie Chose her colors: Pink, Black & White. Her sister Rachel
hand crafted the tiaras for all of the 14 attendants in her court!

My daughter Margaret celebrated her 16th birthday in style this past weekend. A doll cake was the centerpiece set on a 1/2 sheet cake. The flavor was funfetti... her favorite. 14 additional doll cakes were made as the "court" and Maggie coordinated each to  the haircolor of the friends she had invited to the party.

53 is Looking Good!

Ron's Patriot Barbie Cheerleader Cake is a hit!

The "Big Guy" turned 53 this past Saturday and he celebrated with style: Patriot's style! And who better to help him usher in another year than Patriot Barbie? Complete with tissue paper pom poms she gazed back at the birthday boy as if to say... "Score!"

Tom Brady, eat your heart out. I bet Giselle doesn't bake a cake like this for you!

Suffice it to say, the tripple layer chocolate fudge and french vanilla cake decorated with football players and miniature footballs flanked by goal posts on each side provided a winning dessert.

Pats Rule!

I made a cake for my husband to take to the Patriots game last weekend. The cake was made of chocolate and french vanilla layers. The key to getting the drawing in place is tracing it in with a toothpick first to get the art just right. Then, tracing the lines and filling it in with icing.
